Club Policy on Jersey Numbers
General Number Guidelines

All players within a birth year and gender age group will choose different numbers (i.e. all female players born in 2002 will have different numbers).

At no time will number changes be allowed that will force another player to purchase a new uniform.

Players will choose odd/even numbers consistent with their birth year (i.e. if born in an odd year, the player will choose an odd number)
Entering U9

parent/player will provide manager/travel admin with top three jersey odd or even number choices consistent with their birth year (this can be done during registration)
Returning Players - Remaining on same team

If players are returning to their same team as the previous year, they may retain their number or choose a new one as long as it doesn’t conflict with a current player on that team or a new player joining that team or anyone in that gender age group
Returning Players - Changing Teams

If player joins a different team than the previous year, they may retain their current number or choose a new one as long as it doesn’t conflict with any player currently on that team or in that gender age group
Returning Players - New Teams

If a new team is formed from a combination of other team, players may retain their number or choose a new one as long as it doesn’t conflict with other players joining that team. In the case of a conflict, the player registering first for the current seaonal year will have priority in choosing.
New to NVSC Players

Players new to NVSC will choose a number that does not conflict with any player in that age group odd or even consistent with their birth year.
Jersey Conflicts

If there is a conflict between players choice of jersey number, the player registering first will have priority in choosing
