NVSC Junior Academy is designed for young players who are ready for more than recreational soccer and want a challenging, development-focused environment that prepares them for the next level. Built for motivated U6–U8 (08/01/2018 - 07/31/2021) players, Junior Academy introduces a more intentional training experience centered on technical growth, confidence on the ball, decision-making, and love for the game.

With professional staff leadership, age-appropriate coaching, and a clear developmental pathway, Junior Academy helps players build the foundation needed to thrive in future Travel Select environments.

Junior Academy is NVSC’s early development program for players, U6-U8 (08/01/2018 - 07/31/2021), who show enthusiasm, commitment, and potential to grow within a more structured soccer environment.

This program is built to give young players the right balance of:

• High-quality training
• Game-based learning
• Small-sided competition
• Individual attention in a developmental setting

Our goal is not to rush players, but to give them the right tools, habits, and understanding to progress with confidence.

Junior Academy is designed to provide consistent, meaningful touches and game exposure throughout the week.

Weekly Format

• Two training sessions per week
• Weekend small-sided (4v4) games
• Professional staff-led curriculum
• Age-appropriate learning environment

Training sessions focus on individual development and small-group concepts, while weekend match play gives players the chance to apply what they are learning in a game setting.

Technical Foundation

Players develop comfort and confidence with the ball through repetition, guided discovery, and game-like activities.

Decision-Making and Awareness

We want young players to do more than perform skills — we want them to recognize pictures, solve problems, and make choices in realistic soccer moments.

1v1 Ability

Young players must learn how to attack and defend individually. We prioritize confidence in duels and encourage players to be brave, competitive, and creative.

Small-Group Play

Players are introduced to moments such as 2v1, 2v2, and 3v2 so they begin understanding support, spacing, timing, and teamwork.

Development works best when players are engaged and excited. Our environment is challenging, energetic, and fun.
