Weather Protocol

Cold Weather Items:

-          Practice outdoor will be canceled due to cold weather at the discretion of the NVSC Technical Staff for temperatures that are at or below 35F, this could be actual temperature or temperature with wind chill.  An announcement from the club will go out to all team managers to be sent to the NVSC members.

-          Practice Winter Wear: Players can wear their Adidas Warm Ups during outdoor practices; along with a knit beanie style hat (this hat can’t have any strings or extra items on it that could get caught on another player, so just plain beanies are allowed).  Under Armor style under garments can be worn.  Gloves are also welcome but must be gloves that allow a player to handle the ball for a throw in properly, many athletic stores sell proper athletic gloves.  Also the wraps that go around the head that cover the ears are allowed.

-          Game Day Winter Wear: Players can wear their Adidas Warm Ups during game warm ups but the jacket and warm up pants are not allowed to be worn during a game.  Under Armor style under garments can be worn, it is highly recommended that they are matching colors of the uniforms, a referee cannot allow the under garment to be worn if a different color.   A knit beanie style hat (this hat can’t have any strings or extra items on it that could get caught on another player, so just plain beanies are allowed) can be worn during games if the player would like to for U9 – U12 players.  U13 players and above are not to wear the beanie style hat or any other hat during games, unless the temperature is at freezing or below or the coach decides he/she will allow the hats to be worn.  Gloves are welcome but must be gloves that allow a player to handle the ball for a throw in properly, many athletic stores sell proper athletic gloves.  Also the wraps that go around the head that cover the ears are allowed.
