• Who: Boys & Girls ages U9 - U19 (born 2017 - 2007)
• Where: Hellwig Park Turf Fields 7 and 8 14424 Bristow Rd. Manassas, VA 20112 or Hellwig Park 2 14420 Bristow Rd, Manassas, VA 20112
• What to Bring: Cleats, shin guards, water, ball
• When: 

CHECK IN FOR APRIL 26 AND MAY 3 TRYOUTS:

CHECK IN: Check In will be located at field 2 at the NVSC tent/canopy.  Please arrive 30 minutes before your first scheduled tryout session, we will begin check in at that time and you will receive your tryout number.  You can place those numbers on the front of your shorts.

ATTIRE: Please wear a white t-shirt (current NVSC travel players wear your black training kit) and with appropriate soccer attire.

EQUIPMENT: Make sure to wear shin guards and bring a ball and water bottle.

CHECK IN FOR MAY 5 thru 15 TRYOUTS:

CHECK IN: Check In will be located between turf fields 7 and 8 at the NVSC tent/canopy.  Please arrive 30 minutes before your first scheduled tryout session, we will begin check in at that time and you will receive your tryout number.  You can place those numbers on the front of your shorts.

ATTIRE: Please wear a white t-shirt (current NVSC travel players wear your black training kit) and with appropriate soccer attire.

EQUIPMENT: Make sure to wear shin guards and bring a ball and water bottle.

Step 1: Two-Day Evaluation

• Day 1 – Small-Sided Play
  Players will participate in small-sided games (3v3 or 4v4) to assess:

  • Technical ability (passing, dribbling, ball control)
  • Quick decision-making under pressure
  • Movement off the ball and creativity

• Day 2 – Game Format Play
  Players will be evaluated in a scrimmage (7v7 or 9v9) to assess:

  • Tactical awareness and positioning
  • Game intelligence and decision-making
  • Physical attributes (speed, endurance, strength)
  • Overall contribution to team play

Step 2: Player Notification

• Within 2 days of the final tryout session, all players will receive an email via the registration email provided during sign-up.
• The email will include one of the following outcomes:
  1. Offer to Join NVSC Travel Select Program– Players who are selected will receive an official invitation to join the program.
  2. Not Selected – If a player is not selected at this time, they will be encouraged to continue their development and try again in the future.

Step 3: Player Response

• Players offered a roster spot will have 72 hours to accept or decline the invitation.
• To accept the offer, families must complete the next steps outlined in the email, which may include:
  • Confirming their commitment
  • Submitting an initial deposit
  • Reviewing season details (training schedule, fees, etc.)

Step 4: Finalization & Next Steps

• Once the 72-hour window closes, the club will confirm final team rosters and communicate with families regarding the next steps for the upcoming season.
• Players who decline or do not respond within the deadline may have their spot offered to another player on the waiting list.
